Recent Amazon Prime Purchases

From kitchen and cleaning products to skincare and dog leashes, a random list of recent Amazon Prime purchases that I’ve been loving.

beauty, kitchen and dog products from Amazon
  • Blue Light Blocking Glasses. I was getting daily tension headaches and having trouble falling asleep. I thought it may have something to do with being in front of the computer more than usual. I looked into blue light blocking glasses and found these on Amazon. These are super cute, around $20 and definitely block out the blue light. I wear them at night when I’m working on the computer and have had a much easier time falling asleep.
  • TruSkin Vitamin C Serum. I saw this serum all over my Instagram stories and decided to try it out. It’s a vitamin C serum with Hyaluronic Acid and vitamin E to help with skin brightness, firmness, fine lines, wrinkles and dark & sun spots. It has a plant-based formula with clean ingredients and after a week of using it my skin definitely looks a bit brighter. I also had a hormonal breakout that cleared up much quicker than usual — I’m not sure if this is a result of the serum but thought it worthy of noting.
  • Kitsch Spiral Hair Ties. Another item I was seeing all over Instagram — I’m typically not easily influenced and like to do way more than necessary research on every little thing I buy but these hair ties sold me. I wash my hair twice a week and was having an issue with regular hair ties and even scrunchies creasing my hair when I would put it up to work-out/shower/etc. Y’all. These don’t crease! Amazing! At $5 for 8, it was worth the quick buy.
  • Max and Neo Reflective Dog Leash. Loki chewed through her leash one day when we weren’t looking. I actually think it might have been small bites over the course of a few days because that’s how she is but nonetheless we needed a new leash for her. After doing some research, the Max and Neo leash was the top contender. The material is thick and durable (hopefully she won’t be able to chew it) and the clasp is strong. I ordered the 4 foot leash because I like for her to walk next to me. It was the shortest option but it’s still a little long. I roll the leash around my hand a few times but would have preferred a 3 foot leash if they had that option. They also donate a leash to a dog rescue for every leash sold.
  • SPLF Reusable Storage Bags. An eco-friendly alternative to Ziploc bags. I LOVE them. The bags are leak-proof silicone (no plastic!) and come in three sizes — gallon, sandwich and snack and are freezer safe. I purchased my first set before Christmas and just ordered another because I love them so much. Super inexpensive too, especially when compared to the cost of single use plastic bags.
  • Full Circle Bamboo Dish Brush. I’ve been annoyed at our kitchen sponges for awhile now. I switched to O’Cedar Scrub Sponges 6 months ago based on some research I did and while they hold up great and are odor-resistant (a huge plus!), they don’t have enough scrubbing power. I also wanted something a bit more eco-friendly and this bamboo dish brush hits both those wants — it’s a powerful scrubber and eco-friendly (and so cute!).
  • Mason Jar Soap Dispenser Lids. We buy bulk dish soap and I’ve been using a mason jar to hold dish soap since someone gifted me one years ago. It recently started to show a lot of rust and actually ruined the mason jar so I figured it was time for new lids! This is a 3 pack and the lids are rust proof, don’t get clogged and the black goes with my kitchen. The only issue I’ve had is with the straw length. They give you a super long one and a super short one. I ended up cutting the long one to have the perfect fit.
