Five Favorites Friday
Happy Friday!
- Disney+. It’s so cool to be able to watch all the movies I loved as a child with my child. Also, Zenon Girl of the 21st Century. Also, The Mandalorian. Luca isn’t really into TV yet. We’ll put it on and he’ll watch for a few seconds and then run away but he loves to walk up to the TV and ask for “poppins” (Mary Poppins). He mostly just wants to dance to the songs — Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is his favorite.
- Bone broth. We roast a pasture-raised organic chicken every Sunday night and use the bones to make a bone broth. I don’t drink coffee but bone broth has been the perfect warm immunity-boosting drink in the morning.
- 70% Cacao Extra Dark Chocolate. Especially dipped in Smucker’s Natural Peanut Butter. I’m not a fan of peanut butter and chocolate in any other way but this combination is SO good. I also like extra dark chocolate but not too dark. I’ve tried almost every percentage of cacao — 93% was the highest (yuck!) — and 70% is the perfect mixed of bitter and sweet.
- Snake plants. I do NOT have a green thumb but I try really, really hard. My mother-in-law gifted me a snake plant 2 years ago and I’m happy to report it’s alive and well and even gave us babies (is that what it’s called when you move a small one to a new pot? I don’t know). I love the look of the plant and I barely have to care for it — win, win!
- Nerf gun fights with Ry. I traded my mom a coin bank for a Nerf gun after our White Elephant gift exchange and Ry picked up one of his own a couple of weeks ago and now we have Nerf gun
fightsambushes every night after Luca goes to sleep. The odds are against me since Ry was a trained solider but my aim is getting much better and I’m learning to be stealthy.
