- Philips Avent My Bendy Straw Cup We originally purchased the Munchkin beginner straw cup but after it leaked everywhere, I knew we needed something that wouldn’t leak! These cups are leak-proof — as long as you push the straw fully into the mouth piece and secure the cap. The tapered in the middle design is perfect for small hands and I love the push down lid for taking the cup on the go.
- Munchkin Snack Catcher Luca loves to eat his afternoon snack outside on the deck and this snack cup is perfect for ensuring the food doesn’t fall on the deck or end up in Loki’s mouth. We also use the cups when we’re out and about for minimum mess.
- Nubby Sure Grip Miracle Mat We loved this mat until Luca learned to pick it up. It suctions to the table or highchair but he learned that he could pull the ends up around 10 months. The separate bowls were great for separating textures and sizes. We now only use this when eating at restaurants but I definitely recommend it for as long as your baby will keep in on the table.
- Mega Blocks First Builders Building Bag We LOVE these blocks! The large design is perfect for little hands and encourages fine motor skill development. We have 3 bags that we combined into a large basket and Luca loves taking them out every morning and putting them away every night.
- Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soap Baby Unscented We were using the Aveeno Baby Unscented soap up until 9 months when I found Dr. Bronner’s. This particular unscented version is super clean and safe for baby’s skin. A little goes a long way too — they recommend diluting the soap with 8 parts water.
- Munchkin Ocean Squirts Bath Toy We were gifted these bath toys at our baby shower and used them since Luca was a few months old. But we moved Luca out of his bath seat around 8 months and he was really able to play with the toys. They can become filled with water and mold pretty easily so I recommend squeezing the water out after each use and doing a deep clean once a week to avoid this.
- BirdRock Baby Fringeless Moccasins I am OBSESSED with these shoes. Luca started walking around 10 months and I purchased a pair of hard bottomed sneakers for him to wear outside but he hated them. After doing some research, I read that the recommendation is for baby to wear lightweight, flexible footwear on rough or outside surfaces. These moccasins are both flexible, lightweight and super easy to get on and off. Luca has had no issues walking in them and he actually keeps them on his feet! I’ll definitely be ordering the black and gray ones as well.
- Command Picture Hanging Strips I have a post dedicated to why I love Command Strips so much — Command Strips: The baby-proofing tool you didn’t know you needed — They have been a lifesaver in the baby-proofing department.
- TreeBud Kids Teepee Tent We turned our formal dining room that was never a formal dining room into a playroom when Luca was 9 months and I wanted the space to be cozy but also have separate areas for different types of play. I thought a tent would be the perfect place for pillows and Luca’s stuffed animals that could transition to a reading nook when he was old enough. He loves playing peek-a-boo through the little window and I often find him hiding behind the flaps. The particular tent we bought is no longer sold but I linked a similar one.
